Dr. Haren Choudhury was born on 7th July 1943 in Niz Modertola village of Baihata, Kamrup district, Assam to Late Gurucharan Choudhury and Late Brajabala Choudhury.

Born to a large family of Mouzadar of lower Assam, he was the youngest son among seven brothers and sisters
